Turn your old ride into a vehicle for change this “Cartober”

The Cartober donation drive is on!  Make this October, Cartober, when you donate a car, truck, RV, or boat to DAV.  And, if you donate your car in October, you’ll get a FREE car air freshener for your new or existing vehicle.

Did you know that vehicle donations can drive hundreds and sometimes even thousands of dollars to programs that support the causes you care about most—like helping the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country?

DAV is celebrating “Cartober,” a month dedicated to raising awareness around the impact that car donations have on DAV’s mission.

If you have a vehicle that’s no longer being used, this is the perfect time to honor its role in your family by turning it in to impact our nation’s veterans.

DAV accepts vehicle donations of all types, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, airplanes, heavy equipment, farm machinery and most other motorized vehicles—whether they run or not.

When you donate your vehicle to DAV, your gift qualifies for a tax deduction. And we’ll take care of the paperwork and provide all of the tax documentation you need to get your deduction.

The proceeds from your donation will help fund DAV’s free, life-changing programs for veterans of all generations and their families. Your generous donation will empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.

Help drive change for veterans… Join the “Cartober” giving movement by donating your unwanted car or spread the word to friends and family during the month of October.

“I choose DAV to donate my car for not just one reason but many. It is a great organization and the work that l have seen first-hand that is done by DAV is outstanding and anyway l could help l will. By donating my car l knew it would be used to help another disabled veteran. My father was a veteran and DAV stood behind him and helped him and our family. So this car donation a little bit of giving back for what the DAV has done for other veterans and my family,” Robert R.
